When Indicators Disagree, Write the Conflict Down
Traders often treat three agreeing indicators as permission and two agreeing ones as almost enough. In our Reservoir coaching room we ask a different question: what is the dissenting reading trying to say? Momentum may still be rising while structure has already failed a prior swing. That is not a partial yes—it is a conflict that belongs in the journal before size enters the conversation.
Students keep a short conflict log: which tools agreed, which resisted, and whether price later resolved the disagreement. After twenty examples the eye improves. The habit prevents treating a noisy oscillator flip as confirmation when the higher-timeframe average still points the other way. Bring three recent trades where indicators disagreed and grade them with the same language you would use live.
